A List Marketing Step That Can Double Your Sales

Using list marketing can be an exceptionally profitable strategy for building an online business. It can incorporate the viral marketing of link exchanging, the customer service of membership sites and the skills of article marketing. For instance, let’s assume that you already have a background on list building and you might even have a grasp on what list marketing is all about. But, as happens with most list builders, you have never seen a profit that is worth all that time you have put into building and maintaining that list. We can talk about a simple step that you could take that could double your sales. But, before we take that on, let’s try to understand why most list marketers fail.

What Can Go Wrong For Most List Marketers?
There could be some common problems most list builders will eventually run into. But, probaly the biggest problem, the problem that could kill over half of your potential sales, is that your list is probably too bored to react to your messages. Step back a moment and think about this: Are the people on your mailing list even reading your messages? Are you possibly wasting your time? Are you just sending out message after message, not realizing that these attempts are being written off even before your potential customers read them?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but probably over three fourths of your messages are probably not looked at, maybe not even glanced at.  You can bet this will stop almost all sales and profit. Why is this happening? Maybe because you have not established your self right off the bat. As soon as you have someone subscribe to your list you need to establish your credibility and reputation right away. You must grab their attention in the first message or maybe the second if you are lucky or they could be gone for good. You might as well write them off of your list because they may not want to take time out of their day to read your marketing message. They may have better things to do.

So, how can you avoid this pitfall? How can you get them to take the action you want and establish your credibility and reputation and maybe double your sales? The answer really is easy, sell yourself! Make them take notice.

When you send out that first email with their initial free gift make sure that your new subscriber understands that you will be sending them additional gifts as well as information on products you think will help them out. Maybe after a couple of emails you might include a product you created or an affiliate link. Your product that you created will establish you as an authority in the eyes of your subscribers but an affiliate product will still have you selling something to them. If they see you as an authority, they will continue to open your marketing message they see in your name. You could even offer your product at a discounted price. Boy, they will really like you now as you have offered them a discount. Just make sure the product is of good quality.

What, You Haven’t Created A Product Yet?
Well, we can solve that problem very quickly and easily. One of the easiest ways to create your own product is by creating an e-book. It can be about anything related to your niche. And if you have knowledge of that subject it makes it easier to do. If you get stuck there are plenty of articles to help you get started on that e-book. I know that if you spend a little time and research on a topic you will find enough information to get you going. Private Label Rights(PLR) articles can be a big help. These are articles you purchase and have the right to do just about anything with, just be sure to read the license to see what you can do. Ah, another article for another time.

With this one little action you can establish your credibility to your subscribers and that should keep being on the look out for your messages and keep them coming back for more. That way you have a chance to double your sales!
