You have probably seen in the last few years, how popular YouTube has become absolutely huge. The main YouTube website receives over 1,000,000 hits each and every day. There are even some videos that have attracted well over 100,000,000 views. That is why you will find so many Internet marketers have seen that they can draw YouTube traffic into their websites and blogs. In fact, it is quite simple to get that done.

The first order of business is to pick a niche you want to use. That niche is simply a topic that your website or blog is related to. A few common or interesting niche ideas could include online work from home opportunities, pet grooming, foreign exchange trading, computer spyware and adware or home security. You will just want to find a controversial or amusing subject that will be related to your niche.

For example, let’s say your niche is pet grooming, then you might find an amusing topic could be “How to shave your dog and make a toupee for yourself”. Then all you would have to do is create a video about that topic. And you won’t even need to have a video camera. You could simply use Window Movie Maker ( which you probably have preloaded on your computer already if you use a PC).

If you are using a funny or controversial title for that video, this will also help gain you some traffic. But, be sure you are targeting your main keywords. If you are trying to get visitors that might be interested in “dog grooming” then your main keywords you will want to target might be “groom your dog” or “dog grooming made easy”. Those keywords should be part of your title and should also be included in your description. YouTube will also let you tag your videos with certain keywords, so be sure to include your targeted keywords as tags for that video.

Alright now, the last step is to add that link to your website or blog all through the video, at the end of the video, and/or in the description of the video. That way if people looking at the video get to the end and they like it, they will probably want to check out your website. Then once they get to your website, you should have an opt-in form that you can use to build that targeted list of subscribers. The traffic from YouTube will be targeted visitors and you may end up with some great results if you are using it as a list building resource.
