Have you ever wondered whether those to good to be true “make money scams” that you see online are really any good? Most of the time the things you do see on the internet are above board. The really difficult part for you is to weed through all of the traffic to find that one thing that would be right for you. Here are a few of the common money making scams that some online marketing newbies might fall into.

Get Rich Quick:

Quite a few of the so-called experts in internet marketing will use their stories as solid proof that you could be just like them if you buy their products or services. And it is probably true that a good many of these marketers did make a lot of money very quickly, but there are 3 things you may want to be aware of about that;

1. More than likely they were not exactly new to the industry when they started making money…

2. They could have also used a few other ways or programs when they began making the money…

3. It is probably true they actually spent a huge amount of money to be able to earn this enormous amount of money. And even though these products and/or services are probably valuable and legitimate, you can’t expect that you will have instant riches when you begin.

Easy Money Making:

There are a large amount of automated systems out there. And of course they are real and of course they are easy. But they can also be very expensive and may not be as effective since they may appeal to a great many people who are trying to go the easy route. And when you think about it, making money online does not have to be complicated – it can actually be simple – but sorry, you will have to put in some work.

A lot of people will get started out on the wrong foot with some systems that claim to be easy and profitable. I am sure we have all been there at one time. Then some will find that they are not very easy or profitable and will want to give up. That is when you will usually hear them proclaim that these systems are “make money scams”.

Pyramid Schemes:

There are many kinds of legitimate programs ( such as network marketing or MLM businesses) that offer you a commission if you recruit others into the business. But, if you should run into a program that will only offer you money if you recruit other members but don’t offer any kind of real product or service, then you have probably run into a pyramid scam. Luck for you, the FTC will react quickly to crack down on these types of activities so you shouldn’t be seeing them to often.

Pay Affiliate Programs:

You will also run into affiliate programs that will claim to be able to make you lots of money, but you must first purchase their product or they will charge you a sign up fee before you can get started promoting their offer. Just be aware you do not have to pay for an affiliate product to promote it (though there are reasons you may want to do that). The really good affiliate product and service owners will NEVER ask their affiliates to pay money before they earn.

You can usually find out more information from the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission about rip-offs, plus ways to verify offers and file complaints. You can also get specific or general information from your state attorney general’s office about make money scams.
